New Yawk

For the past two weeks I have spent 30 hours in transit going to work and about 100 hours at work. This leaves 110 hours for everything else--11 hours a day. I've been going a little bit cross eyed after working on excel for so long, but I like it. It's fun. I wear slacks. Not pant suits. Enjoy the instagrams from my commute. Starting tomorrow, I'll live on the upper east side. Blair, Chuck and Serena... watch out.

Easter

I made it safely from bone chilling Utah to the hot and humid east coast. I had a successful interview in the city. Then I took the train down to DC and enjoyed Easter with lots of family. Ate Nando's with Roberto, sailed on the Chesapeake, sang happy birthday to the best older sister. Short and sweet. Too much candy.

4 days from now i'll be walking on Madison Ave.

5 days from now i'll be spending easter in the District.

Travel plans rock.

This week is all about Laney Boggs. The nerdy Laney Boggs. Watch "She's All That" if you don't know what I'm talking about. Okay, it's study time.

Strength

My mom gave me a Pansy, not because I am "a sissy, fairy, or one that is generally unmanly."-Urban Dictionary, but because Pansy flowers are resilient. They live though a frost, they are a symbol of strength and fortitude.

Today I was first in line (with Mckelle) to see Mark Zuckerberg speak. We were in line at 7:30am, apparently BYU didn't think this was a big deal. There were no campers. Our seats were amazing.

It slushed outside. Sperry duckboot weather.

And I ditched Harold and went to the CoffePod to do homework, trendy.

M... for March

Minimalist March here we come.

My life has been too complicated, so I'm going to cut some corners and simplify.

This simplification started with a trip to DI. Goodbye unnecessary clothes. Minimal clutter.

The use of an app called "self control" has made my time more effective. Goodbye facebook, twitter, tumblr, blogger websites until my homework is done. Minimal distraction.

March for March, I will always be climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Minimal stress about swimsuit season.

Makeup is a hassle. I'll be wearing less makeup which will give me more time in the morning and the evenings. Minimal Makeup.

Here's a wish list.

lately

i went up to the sundance film festival with some of my favorite girls. saw Seacrest among other celebs. i have been skiing 7 times this season. i love my roommates and the crazy things they (we?) do. 2am nights with Leslie. just hanging out! with Anna. pillow talk with Reesa.
my friends from freshman year are starting to come back from their missions. i stay up too late now, "this is just like freshman year" gets said way too often. but i like it. and i am still waiting on the internship. the game never ends. really, it never ends.
